I was expecting something related from "The Selection" with roses, blood, and faerie magic combined, but in the end it was part one of a world history fanfic trilogy of Hungarian independence. The writing was okay, the plot was nice, the characters were too many to deal with (unless it has its own Wikia), and I don't understand Hungarian language itself except perhaps I looked it up in the back once. Another new thing is I discovered a poet named Petofi Sandor because I would've read anything by him one day. If you enjoy complex fantasy with Victorian bits, I suppose you will give it a try.
