When astronomer Carl Sagan was young he dreamed of the stars, sought out answers, eventually entering a career of centred around the exploration and understanding of space. This juvenile biography gives an overview of his life right up to the point where he and other scientists launched the Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 probes. Since this is from the perspective of a "young boy", all the illustrations try to capture his wonder and imagination. The stars come in many colours, aliens inhabit far off worlds, and exclamations of "Wowie!" are scattered throughout. Additional notes on Carl Sagan's life and on astronomy are included in the back. For all those interested in this subject, check out his series Cosmos (or the new one hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson), and maybe you too will be inspired to look at the stars.
