I liked this book and found it engaging enough to read the second in the series and now ordering the third. The "religious" content is really more in the line of the supernatural and seems fitting in a fantasy novel. The characters are believable as is the state of the country after its political collapse. Particularly interesting is how people find ways to replace what once was easily at hand such as matches and medicines. Worth a read!
