Another wonderfully crafted tale, this one a sequel to the Blackstar of Kingston. Familiar characters return in flight from their old homes, only to discover an enemy that lurks unknown even to the reader. Betrayal and kidnapping spark some of the best sea battles we have seen from S.D Smith so far. But above all, this book holds the hope and passion I have come to expect from this series. It sparks and inspires longing in my heart for the mending of their (and our) broken world, as it will in yours.
