Three generations of women learn how to unite as a family as each faces life-altering challenges on Martha's Vineyard.

The women each discover that the family tradition of keeping secrets doesn't work out well for any of them.

It's a good beach book, but not Sarah Morgan's best. I was annoyed that Jenna's story didn't get resolved, and I was annoyed that Lauren was rescued rather than allowed to rescue herself. I'm weary of knight on a white horse tales. And, I was most annoyed with the lack of credibility of the restoration on a shoestring and rent it out for top dollar fairy tale. Nobody is that clever, resourceful, and talented. And, folks from Manhattan are too shrewd to pay a fortune for shabby chic.
