On paper. small stocky subject with stubby arms & awkward technical pose shouldn't be boxing champion. However, he have unconventional hard hitting punch, take a lot of punishment & could learn in baby steps.
Biography highlighted the seedy boxing world by organized crime & corrupt management who fixed matches or boxing legend that burnt brighter because he died so young and the trauma on his family.

Rocky Marciano was tough and extremely well conditioned, but overrated. Yes, he was undefeated as a pro, but once they won the title they ducked the young contenders to fight the old names, and he defended his title a grand total of six times in four years. However, many white people talk about him as if he were the textbook definition of a fighting champion who took on all comers.
