slow, slow, slow! Normally would have given a movie with this bad of acting 1 star but gave it 2 1/2 stars because these men truly are heroes! For not being professional actors these heroes aren't horrible and when they finally got to the 12 minute action packed train terror sequence it wasn't bad either. But overall not Clint Eastwoods best.

Too slow for most of the movie. I was beginning to wondering if the wrong disc was in the box! Was happy to see the Clint Eastwood let the real heroes play themselves. Was so glad I saw it on DVD and could FF through the first 45 minutes!

Got to watch the first part of the movie but then the disc started skipping to the blue screen at the end and nothing we tried would make it work.
That kinda sucked as we were somewhat invested at that point.
Oh well....not likely to put it back on hold and wait forever again just to know the ending.

Good movie, if rather slow for most of it; at one point it just seemed like a travel-logue for Europe for young guys. Interesting to see how their lives went that lead them to that point. Not a good movie if you’re looking for non-stop action.

thought it was brave/gutsy of Eastman to let the real guys play themselves...a tad slow with filler bits to get to the point of why these men were profound, but it was interesting.

Similar to "Only the Brave" where you spend most of the time in the movie getting to know the characters so you can empathize with them during the third act when everything explodes and the movie comes together. It shocked me near the end to find out that the same heroes were also acting in the same movie, and I'm glad I didn't know that going in since it was a refreshing surprise with me. I learned this when I saw the awards handed to them by a real French president and I'm like, "but that's them?!? They couldn't possibly have hired a French president to act in this movie".

I do have one issue with the movie and that is language. For a "faith based movie" they are loose in how they say the Lord's name in vain. I'd put these types of movies to a higher standard, especially if you are looking for a clean movie. I also noticed this movie had a backlash of negative reviews because the real-life heroes were poor actors and the movie was somewhat jagged and didn't feel convincing. Normally I am skeptical when the critics come against a faith-based movie, but these objections sounded valid. I disagree. It was a fun movie to watch on Blu-Ray and I enjoyed the European tour on the Second Act. The Blu Ray disk provided by the library has outstanding imagery of these places.

Three long-time friends get together for 'European Vacation' where they are told that Americans are not the only ones to do good things. A wanna be 'Rambo' on their train requires a takedown! The head Frenchy says that they faced down EVIL. he did not explain what the evil was or where it came from.

About seventy fiver percent of this is them hanging out as their story is told and the final twenty five percent is them opening a can of whoopin' on the guy, violence. Insightful.

Ok movie. Faith based.
The real heroes played themselves in the movie.
