"While viewing the harbor's Gaslights and Galleons Parade from the widow's walk of Timothy Neville's Charleston mansion, local banker Carson Lanier seemingly tumbles over a narrow railing, then plunges three stories to his death. But a tragic accident becomes something much more sinister when it's discovered that the victim was first shot with a bolt from a crossbow. At the request of the mansion owner, Theodosia investigates the tragedy and is soon neck deep in suspects. An almost ex-wife, a coworker, a real estate partner-- all had motives for killing the luckless banker, but one resorted to murder to settle accounts"

Theo Browning returns with her cast of characters to another edition of the Indigo Tea Shop Mysteries and it is a joy to visit with them again. Ms. Childs has returned to her basic formula of a strong determined business owner turned sleuth, her faithful Man Friday Drayton and accompanying cast of regulars. Nice to see Aunt Libby return to the stories. She has been absent for a while. Another murder involving high society in Charleston, the Heritage Society and lots of red herrings. It's not a hard mystery to unravel but you feel like you are carried along with the characters on their gentle route of discovery. Always looking forward to the next one
