Interesting ethical questions come through as Leo discovers more about Earth and his own place there. The description in this story, whether technical or sensory, bogged me down. I would have enjoyed more character development and interaction especially with Grandpa.

Lake is one of my favorite YA authors; I find his books immerse me in whatever setting and experience he's exploring. While Satellite requires a bit of patience due to a large quantity of technical details and a type of text-speak narration, readers who share Leo's journey will be rewarded.
