"On a cool June morning, Isa Wilde, a resident of the seemingly idyllic coastal village of Salten, is walking her dog along a tidal estuary. Before she can stop him, Isa's dog charges into the water to retrieve what first appears to be a wayward stick-and to her horror, she discovers it's not a stick at all but a human bone. As her three best friends from childhood converge in Salten to comfort a seriously shaken-up Isa, terrifying discoveries are made, and their collective history slowly unravels."-- Provided by publisher.

I enjoyed Ruth Ware's 'In a Dark, Dark Wood' which led me to this title. I do think she is a talented writer, but I think there is such thing as too much suspense build up. By the time everything was hitting the climax, I just didn't care anymore. I also found myself not being sympathetic towards any of the main characters.

The narrator of the audio book was very talented. Love the accents.

In need of a really good editor. Mundane details went on and on and on and did not add anything to the mood, the characters, or the final outcome. I should’ve read the first 10 chapters and then jumped to the finish. It would have been same character development and saved me a lot of time.
