Based on a true story, the film depicts the struggle, against all odds, of a young, talented singer from Gaza who finally made it to the Arab Idol and made his mark there. Perhaps the music was not my cup of tea, or perhaps I find the directing and acting very basic, I just did not find the film as engaging as I would like it to be. Subtitles.

Wow! This is a wonderful, mesmerizing, memorable movie! A whole family can watch it! This movie, based on the true events and a real person, is full of surprises! It is warm, adventurous, action, music, and has heart-pounding moments!
The main actor, the Child and the Adult, playing the same person, Mohammad Yassaf, have beautiful, strong voices! The actor casting of all characters is perfect! Superb acting by the Children and Adults alike! All the more amazing, since the Children have never taken acting classes before!
Make sure to watch the Bonus section! Worthwhile! It describes the difficulties of filming and difficulty of getting the actors to the locations, although not far away, due to the Israeli-imposed severe restrictions!
I highly recommend this Movie!

This is a captivating true account of the 2012 Arab Idol winner that was a very big deal in that part of the world. Really a good story & the bonus feature was very interesting as well.
