A bittersweet use of the well known Peter Pan milieu as experienced from a young woman's vantage point. It explores themes of loss, guilt, reality, fantasy, and ultimately the choice around healing and growing up. The artwork is captivating and used to great effect in this short and touching book.

After losing her brother Michael, Wendy's therapist suggests drawing as a coping skill. I liked how the illustrations transitioned from black & white to color reflecting on her emotions and how those feelings morphed into her version of the story of Peter Pan. Well done lesson on how one's creativity can help deal with loss and grief.

A beautiful and interesting take on the well known Peter Pan tale. It brings a modern and a bit of a dark and tragic take to the well-known story with Wendy dealing with the tragic death of her younger brother. This creates a story centered on loss and grieg rather than childhood and make believe. I do wish the story was a bit longer to allow for some more development of characters and relationships and to explore the blending of the Peter Pan elements more. Over all though, an excellent graphic novel.
