A beautiful story of hope and courage in the face of certain death. A legacy and a message for the world.

A story of joy and finding magic in the simple moments of the life we have left, but with honesty and clarity and a starkly vulnerable picture of what it is to have MBC metastatic breast cancer and know you are going to die from it.

The simple strong illustrations capture moments from Teva's cancer experience but also from her childhood memories and her family, she creates a story to leave behind and hold. She believed that people live on in the memories of others and I know that in her case it is true. Teva will live forever in our memories and this book is a beautiful way to remember her extraordinary life by.

I love the simplicity of this story. It is told straight from Ms. Harrison's heart. The short chapters make the book flow seamlessly and you get caught up in the story, the heartache and the hope.

I can't possibly imagine how Teva Harrison feels, to know that you are dying, possibly soon, and how. How do you get up each day, and continue trying to live your life to the fullest? With pain and difficulty and determination, it turns out. She touches on everything - the little everyday things that you might not consider, and the big... the hopes and feelings that you feel in this situation. This was a difficult read but I think that if someone else can live it, the least you can do is read it.

While it must have taken tremendous effort, and courage, for the author to create this, the drawings are rough, and the writing ordinary. There is little insight or personal revelation here, just a story of hope.
