Art history teacher Nora Barnes and her husband Toby are in France to see the cave of Lascaux and take a cooking class at a nearby chat́eau. During their tour of the cave, another visitor is murdered, and when the local inspector pegs Nora and Toby as suspects, they decide to solve the crime, tracing strange links between a Cro-Magnon symbol and a thirteenth-century religious cult.
