After seven days in a coma, Hannah Parker remembers nothing about the accident that landed her in the hospital or how she ended up pregnant with Brannon McKay's baby, the man she's loved since high school. Her body and heart have burned for him for years, and when she wakes up, he's sleeping by her bedside, anxious to keep her safe at all costs. But as Hannah struggles with her amnesia, a threat looms closer--one that could have deadly consequences if she recovers her memories. She will have to trust Brannon completely if she is to keep what haunts her at bay, and their baby safe.

4.5 STARS!

I am really enjoying this series. Hannah and Brannon's romance is the main focus in this book, but a continuing mystery is a major plotline that, I can only surmise, will wrap up in the third book.

Personally, unlike some reviewers, I enjoyed the multiple POV's. It adds to the mystery, suspense and is reminiscent of a style of writing not found in today's NA books. If a reader hasn't veered too far away from standard NA tropes, it may take an adjustment in expectations. My only disappointment is having to wait for the mystery reveal. In the first book, one mystery concluded while a second began. I guess I was under the impression, that might happen again. This time, the book ended without any conclusion to the mystery(s.) The romance tied up neatly, but you have to wait for the third book for the conclusion to the bigger mystery and Gideon and Moira's story.

I am fully invested and have my suspicions as to the mystery. Although I'm not a big "whodunit" reader, I'm excited to discover if my suspicions are correct. That the mystery is tied up into the McKay sibling's romances (which I have loved!,) helps me to stay invested.

The McKay series are my first introduction to Shiloh Walker's writing. I do not read paranormal and hadn't realized that she had written simply contemporary romantic suspense, as well. I will definitely seek out her previous books within this genre.
