Fast paced, reasonably well done, but I'm really tired of filmmakers using the "annoying child who messes things up" to increase tension.

Rated 1/10. This movie, with Owen Wilson in the lead, just proves one more time that he cannot act.

Every single movie that I have ever seen him in, he is exactly the same way. The same hair style and delivery of his lines. Nothing ever changes.

Mind you, the actress who played his wife, Lake Bell, equally matched his lack of skills in this waste of space.

And, Pierce Brosnan's part almost seemed like an afterthought. He must have been hard up for work to play in this this low budget tripe.

Lots of fast-forwarding in this one. No more Owen Wilson for me, thanks!

Very well done. Note that the Dowdles are locals. Kudos!

No Escape is a thrilling action movie. Because of a business issue, a family moves from the USA to Thailand, Asia. From the second day they arrive, they are caught in a huge crisis between the rebels and the government. These rebels hate the foreigners because they think they do not deserve to take over their business... while also against the government. Jack, being the only man in the family, has to protect his wife Annie and his two little daughters. Together they jumped roofs, hid in buildings, rode motorbikes, and at last, used a boat and crossed the border of Vietnam. The escape was not easy, but family is worth dying for.

Quite a gripping story indeed! Keeps you on the edge of your seat. If it were to be based on real events, it would be a hair-raising escape from the city on fire. Children's emotions have been captured well by the director. Intermittently, the scenes are loud and dark. Overall an enjoyable movie.

An intact family?! A husband and wife together?! With two children?!?! This is just fantastic. It was too violent, and the attempted rape scene was not at all necessary. The language too was terrible. There were children both on set and in the story. The adults were not setting a very good example, especially if they are two young ladies. Not highly recommended.

This is one of the best films of 2016. I liked it so much I bought it and I've watched it at least a dozen times already. SPOILERS AHEAD. Jack Dwyer is an unemployed engineer who gets a job with Cardiff in an Asian country mirrored after Cambodia. Cardiff is mirrored after the Nestle Corporation, which has gone in and bottled all of the water supply and is selling it for a fortune. Locals now have no water and violently take over the country just as Jack and his family arrive. Within hours, rebels are storming their hotel and murdering everyone in the hotel which is known for housing Cardiff employees. One of the most frightening scenes is when they escape from the roof by jumping to another building roof. Jack has his wife Annie jump first, then he throws each daughter to Annie, who catches them. Then Jack jumps. If there is any doubt this is necessary, the guy who tries jumping immediately behind them is shot dead seconds later. Then it's a chase through the streets and back alleys trying to get to the river to sail across the border to safety with the help of a CIA agent they met on the plane. Each time I watch it I see something new. There's a lot of detail in this film. I know how it ends and I'm still scared every time I watch it.

This is a very fast-paced, edge of your seat, glued to the TV, unpredictable thriller. Not a dull moment. I enjoyed it very much.

***Spoiler Alert***
Hammond: We...have interests in this region.
Jack: We?
Hammond: Our countries. The corporations who run them have interests here. So I show up all nice and friendly, offering to get them a loan to pay for our services, which we know they can't afford. Then we build them power plants, waterworks, freeways... it doesn't really matter. And when they can't repay us the debt... we own 'em.
Jack: The rebel leaders said we were trying to enslave their people by controlling the waterworks.
Hammond: And they were right. Most of those merciless men out there...they're just trying to protect their children, just like you. ... You're alive, Jack. Your family's alive. There's no good or bad here, there's only...just get your family the hell out.
