Scott Snyder is the man, continuing to invent and add memorable characters to Batman's mythos and rogues' gallery. I have yet to read anything from him that I've felt has gone astray.

A collection of largely standalone tales of the Dark Knight, spread through various time periods, with the present action overshadowed by the death of Bruce Wayne's son. Snyder, as always, has a good touch with the character.
