City of DisBook - 2014
Will Regan is an innocent. Withdrawn from school at the age of twelve to look after his blind mother, he has lived in her overbearing shadow all his life. Now, the death of the irascible Moll Regan has allowed him his first real taste of freedom as he attempts to become the 'chronicler' of a city caught in the grip of corruption. The story follows Regan's first experience of liberty as he negotiates a series of doomed relationships, which lead him on a downward spiral into Dublin's underworld. As this journey moves towards its dark conclusion, Regan is offered the possibility of an unlikely redemption.
