The comedy chronicles the life and times of Phil Miller as he "struggles" to survive, hitting on lady mannequins, filling margarita pools, and literally making new friends out of sporting goods. Hilarity ensures when the straight laces Carol Pilbasian shows up and throws off the ridiculous lifestyle Phil has worked so hard to create.

This is one of my favourite TV shows of all time. I find it very hard for me to get into a series that I can watch without getting bored or distracted and this show is one of the few I have actually been able to watch fully. “The Last Man on Earth” is about the human population vanishing due to a virus and the main character, Phil Miller (Will Forte), believes that he is all alone on Earth. As the show goes on though, he ends up meeting lots of people that are in the same boat as him; survivors that just want company. This may sound like some horror/thriller show but it is actually more of a comedy than anything. Some parts will even make you laugh until you cry. I found the plot very original, as although it is an unrealistic look at how an apocalypse would look, it makes the end of the world seem fun and humorous. I find this is not very common in the film industry as there is usually some kind of horror to the series, while this show has practically none. If you have a great sense of humour that can overlook the fact that this isn’t the most realistic apocalypse show and you can just follow along to the plot, then I think this is perfect for you. I rate “The Last Man on Earth” 4/5 stars. @KyKy18 of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board.

The first couple of episodes of The Last Man on Earth were laugh out loud funny. But as the series progressed the lead character Phil becomes more and more undone. It's a little uncomfortable to watch his reactions when others show up.

What would happen if you were the last man on Earth?

What would happen if you suddenly found out that there were more people than you thought?

Last Man on Earth featuring Will Forte answers these questions in some very entertaining ways. Forte plays Phil Miller, an nonredeemable selfish man. His primary form of interaction is manipulation, although not very well. The outcomes are enjoyable and often Phil "reaps what he sows".

My wife and I really enjoyed this first season. Actually, more than we expected to...

the first few episodes were good and they should have left it at that!

Fun premise...but got to be ridiculous as people started arriving and every actor script kept them in a contained box to the point where the characters were predictable and boring. There are occasional funny moments- but I became annoyed with Phil (Tandy) really fast- 13 episodes get really long when you hear the same thing over and over.
