This is not a book about how to make your child into a genius, however. We firmly believe that every child is unique and intelligent in his own way. It is a book on how to understand and cope with your baby when he is difficult and how to enjoy him most as he grows. It is about the joys and sorrows of growing with your baby.

I found this book invaluable when my children were babies. They weren't the best sleepers and other books that said 'by this age your baby should be sleeping through' left me feeling like a failure. 'The Wonder Weeks' gives great insight into what's happening in that growing baby brain and why sometimes they're angels and other times they just MAKE YOU WANT TO PULL YOUR HAIR OUT. The Wonder Weeks are periods of rapid brain development that make your baby's world bigger, brighter and sometimes scarier. It tells you why they are clingier, less or more hungry, less or more tired. I strongly recommend it to all new parents.
