" For years the Garde have fought the Mogadorians in secret. Now all of that has changed. The invasion has begun. John is on the front lines of the fight in New York City. And just as the odds seem stacked against him, his best friend, Sam, a human, inexplicably develops a Legacy—and Sam isn't the only one. While the pair try to track down Five and Nine amid the chaos, they encounter another teen who can wield abilities that were once only meant for the Garde. Whether she is a friend or a foe, however, remains to be seen. Meanwhile, Six, Marina, and Adam are trapped in Mexico. They fought their way into the Sanctuary and were able to awaken the power hidden within, but their preceding battle has left them without any way to reach the others. The Mogs are returning in full force, and it will take a miracle to escape. The Garde are stretched thin, fighting this war on many fronts. The only chance they have is to take out the Mogadorian leader once and for all—but his fate is now irrevocably tied with Ella's. They can't destroy one without the other. But if the Garde can't find another way to stop the Mogs, humanity will suffer the same fate as the Loric: annihilation."--From publisher.

This is a great book but has a terrible ending. If you are about to read this make sure you have the next book right next to you. (If there is one)

This book Is Amazing

The Fate of Ten is the sixth book in the series, and it does a phenomenal job relating and intertwining past events from previous books together! With the invasion of the Mogadorians dawning, the Garde are left with one option, and that is to fight in a war that seems to be an impossible one to win. Being so close to the end of the series, the development of the Garde and John in particular from the very first book till now is mind blowing. They've also grown so much in their personalities, legacies, knowledge and relationships. I remember John from the first book (I am Number Four), when he was still playing games and getting bullied by Mark. So much has changed since then, and now John's a selfless fighter in a war that's not really theirs to fight anymore. In addition to that, the books plot sets up the last and final book of the series (United as One) perfectly, creating a plot that throws a plethora of unforeseen events at you leaving you stunned. As a whole, this book is amazing leaving you with mixed emotions of loss, love, failure, triumph and excitement. @ShepReads of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

In The Fate of Ten, the penultimate book to the Lorien Saga, Lore begins to set the stage for the final showdown between the Loriens and the Mogadorians. Due to the efforts of Six, Marina and Adamus, in the previous book, the Logic force has been released into earth and its inhabitants. This sets the stage for the severely depleted forces of the good guys to be replenished. On the other hand, John has revealed the presence of the Mogadorians and their allies at the United Nations. Unhindered of pretense, Setrakus Ra launches his invasion of earth on the major cities around the globe. Ella who is still connected to her great grandfather due to his twisted Logic charm struggles mentally against his control. Themes of love, loss, revenge and forgiveness are also visited in the lead up to the final show down as Mogadorian resistance forces begin to gather across the globe.

This book was heart-whelming.
The last book in the series is good too. It's called UNITED AS ONE. This one had me laughing while blinking away tears.

Very satisfying build-up to what I suspect will be the conclusion of the series.

A good cliff hanger to end on, with characters becoming better defined and growing. Looking forward to the end.
