A spectacularly illustrated book to share with your preschooler now that Spring has finally arrived!

So much more than a counting book! I wish we could shelve one copy with the math books, another in the insect nonfiction, and another in the languages section. In addition to counting, you'll learn many facts about butterflies, hear their fascinating common names (from Ghost Brimstones to Piano Keys), and if that wasn't enough, learn how to say 'butterfly' in many other languages (from farasha in Arabic to kelebek in Turkish). A book for young naturalists that deserves many repeat readings!

This is a beautiful book geared more for preschool and early elementary ages. Each page has beautiful illustrations that look almost like real photos. Each page has a small blurb about a region like Italy or Russia, and what a butterfly is called in that country's primary language. This book is loaded with beautiful mathematical vocabulary and includes interactive questions.
