Wow, if this is the prelude, not sure I'm waiting around for the main dish. I just find for me that Dan Slott is either on or off when it comes to Spider Man; I either really like his stories or just have no time for them. And some of the concepts in this reminded me way too much of something that I believe DC did way better back in the day and that was the idea of alternate earths and alternate takes on the same character from other earths, universes, etc. I suppose this is being done as a way to reintroduce Gwen Stacy and introduce other new characters as well but I'm not buying it (which is why I am thankful to the library that I can borrow, read it, and give it back, all for free and costing me nothing more than my time).

A lead-in to a big Spider-event, this collection features Slott continuing to re-establish Peter back in control of his life, trying to juggle multiple issues, and is aided along by better art than the previous volume which was overwhelmed by the presence of Humberto Ramos. Slott's been writing the character for a long while, and has a great take on Peter. Hopefully that continues to be the case for a long while to come.
