I found this book a lot slower than the first. I only really got into it after the ball that happens almost 200 pages into the book, when things really got rolling. Before then, everything felt slow and I was almost forcing myself to keep reading. I think that as a middle book this one is alright but I'm not sure where the series stands. I believe it is supposed to be a trilogy. I'm hoping that the next book, whenever it comes out will be more interesting and provide a more action filled story. Overall it was not terrible but I found there was not much character development and what did happen was shallow at best.

This was advertised as a sequel, not the second book of a planned trilogy or anything, but there's lots of story left to tell. I'm hoping Lee continues the series. It's quite good so far.
