With Halloween coming, it may be a good idea to let children read this book for some glee and suspense. What is a mouse's biggest fear? Perhaps... a cat? I like how the author (Geronimo? :) depicts the "otherwise adorable" animals as predators and menaces. In a spooky setting, it is never calming to have to watch your back every few seconds. Finding a strange castle, Geronimo unveils its secrets hiding in the closets and corners. Maybe a lesson from this book is: "Don't be such a 'fraidy mouse!"
