Dark Reflections of the Silver Screen

This collection of 23 stories should appeal to fans of horror and SF primarily, although noir and hard-boiled-mystery readers should feel welcome, too. The book brings together an almost uniformly strong selection of stories, including several that pack a dramatic and frightening wallop. Among the highlights are a portrait of an obsessed projectionist who reedits the movies he shows in a local cinema; a tale of a group of friends who discover that reality is being edited by some higher power; a treatise on lost films of the Byzantine empire; and an account of a world after a zombie apocalypse in which there's a brisk underground trade in old horror movies.
