For such exciting names, the author's recipes don't turn out very exotic. There were a large number of hard to find spices, and the balance of those spices were off. My makhni recipe turned out very similar to Campbell's condensed tomato soup.

I was very disappointed with this cookbook. The author recommends preheating your slow cooker (which can cause your cooker to crack), and all of her recipes require precooking.
