The Lemonade War is about a sibling rivalry to sell the most money off their own lemonade stand. Every summer I dream of making quite a bit of money selling lemonade, and every summer, I never make more than 7 dollars. This book taught me that if I wish to sell high-profit lemonade, I need to apply more selling factices.

This is a very good book! I read it every summer and never get tired of it. I really like how its put together and I think it would be interesting for all readers. Like some siblings fight over something (or over nothing) Jesse and Evan are in the same situation and seem to be not getting along at that point, but at the end they get it back together. I love this story. It also reminds me of how I sell Lemonade every summer :) Enjoy the book!

Confession: I have no children and I got this book as a "light read" so that I didnt have to think too much about anything. I REALLY ENJOYED IT! I am starting out a business myself and liked how entrepreneurial this book was! Great information for younger children on how to handle conflict (NOT by created a lemonade war) with a sibling, and how to do well in business.

Great middle grades realistic fiction, perfect for summer reading. As some others have commented, the author leaves some loose ends at the conclusion of the book, but she ties them up neatly in the sequel, "The Lemonade Crime" and continues Evan's and Jesse's story through three more highly enjoyable books in what came to be known as "The Lemonade War Series."
