Book 5 of the Ex Machina series continues all the goodness that I've come to appreciate. One thing that really stands out for me in this instalment is that the writer isn't afraid to take on some of the big issues in politics. The writing also seems to be timely in that it reflects the atmosphere of the year written in. Ex Machina deals with the legalization of marijuana. In past issues 'The War on Terror', marriage between homosexuals, and artistic freedom are just some of the topics handled. What I really appreciate is that the writer always presents these debates with heated discussions between the characters; one will take a position, and someone will be devil's advocate. The writer is careful to let the reader make their own opinion, which I think is very important.

Continues this amazing graphic novel series. Lots of cool twists and I liked how the series jumps to some of the middle east history of the great machine. The main 'killer' plot was a fairly weak but all the side plots kept this moving quickly.
