Worse, Gavin no longer has the one thing that defined him - the ability to draft. Without the protection of his father, Kip Guile will have to face a master of shadows alone as his grandfather moves to choose a new Prism and put himself in power.

3rd book of Lightbringer series, with another one (?) to go. This book is as thick as the previous two put together. Don't know if it really needed to be this long, but it is well written, lots of points of view going on, but we never get the whole story. Resolutions to events that happened in previous books are still being revealed. The lives of Kip, Teia,Gavin/Dazen, Blackguards, White, Red, Zymun, Liv continue in dribs and drabs, are revealed in surprise twists and turns. How long will we have to wait for the next book? I already want to read it to find out more.
