Not very convincing. This author has written 35 novels but in this case quantity does not equal quality. I found the story dull, unrealistic and awkwardly written, and the weirdest thing was it was not very Amish - they drive cars, don't keep simple values, and there's little mention of God; also, the characters so often refer to aspects of "Englisch life" that Amish people would either not know about or not relate to. It didn't make much sense to call this an Amish novel.
