Reading the Redwall books makes me hungry, so I decided it was high time I tried some of Brian Jacques's recipes. The introduction explains his reasons for including food descriptions in his novels, and they are very interesting. So far I have tried the recipes for October Ale, Vegetable Casserole, Autumn Oat Favorites (oatmeal cookies), and "Veggible" Bake. All turned out well, and my family especially loves the cookies. I'll certainly check this book out again in the future and try more of the recipes.
