The story & characters are engaging, but I agree with other comments that it was bogged down. It could've been better.

It was too confusing to be good, and there it was trying to be too many things at once: dystopia, romance (which go together just fine I guess), magic (there's a contrast), and also, why did he even need the elemental powers? they were just too weak and he focused more on the non-elemental powers anyway, like his seer brother and him causing pain, and (one of his one too many) love interest's enhanced sight and hearing. There was also the deal with his grandma. Its too confusing. I only got it because the title "elemental" reminds me of Avatar The Last Airbender.

hi everyone, it was ok, but confusing and i didnt very much like the writing style. i wouldnt reccomend it, but what i would reccomend is going outside at night cupping your hands around your mouth and screaming out "MANGOS, FOR THE CHILDREN!" then promptly burning down your house and singing jingle bells as you gleefully watch while standing on your fool head.

Er, the author is not Anthony John. His name is Antony John. No "h". You can even see it on the cover of the book...
