Although not what I expected, Our Queen is a fascinating account of the workings of Buckingham Palce and the day-to-day and year-to-year life of Elizabeth II. Robert Hardman truly explains the role played by one of the oldest monarchies in Europe while describing how the Queen herself has had to modernize the institution to ensure longevity. The reader will get a fascinating glimpse at the life of a great and devoted monarch.

Truly an amazing woman. Took the throne at the very young age of 25 and has never faltered in setting an example of compassion and a sense of duty. Includes Prince William's first interview with a royal biographer.
