The popular Bill Murray film "Meatballs" (1979) preceded this by only 2 years so there may have been some minor influence, such as the main character name Rudy, but Korman's Canadian camp story stands on its own and has a cleaner sense of humour. funny really funny you should read

Remembered loving this book in my childhood and read it aloud to my husband and three kids aged 7, 9, and 11. They thought it was hilarious and laughed so much! Thank you Gordon Korman for improving the quality of our driving time.

A humourous book about Rudy hating camp. I recommend this for younger ages.
