Although not as great a wordsmith as fellow countryman Deon Meyer, Ebersohn still engrosses, especially when the topic is Zimbabwe. Although fiction, Ebersohn bases his story on a real massacre that took place 20 years ago. He evokes a sense of Zimbabwe today. I was sad when I finished the book because I had finished it; I wanted more. 4 1/2 stars
