Book 7- Jack D
I thought I wouldn't enjoy a nonlinear story. I was wrong. This is undoubtedly Konrath's best one yet.
Despite the constant back and forth through the years, I enjoyed this book
I finished this book and felt betrayed. I was so ready for the Big Red Herring of who dies to be true, and I thought it would be a fitting end to the series. Hah. I think I’m glad the next book—Stirred, out in February 2012—will be Konrath’s last in this series. The constant preference for violence over plot is beginning to annoy me.
I'm not fond of books that careen back and forth thru a character's life, in this case 1989, 2007, and the story present of 2010.
Also, this mystery borders on a horror story with its gruespme details of serial torture-murders.
"Fate is the future you haven't worked hard enough to change."
