This was a very inspiring book. It is comforting to know that in a world where the news is filled with crimes and hatred, that there are individuals putting aside judgement to help those most in need.

This book changed my life. It is incredibly powerful. I laughed and I cried, often at the same time.

Indeed a powerful book, full of both sad stories and uplifting ones. Father G, as the homies call him, reminds us that gang members are human beings just as worthy of love as everyone else. They must not be demonized but humanized, so that the core of goodness inside of them may be liberated.

This was a powerful book...Fr. Boyle tells it like it is in what must be one of the poorest and most violent sections of L.A. In doing so, he gives us a glimpse into our own humanity, and the hope for a better world.
