I find that the book is fine but the patterns are useless, I would rather have a plastic carton to hold all my yarn, not one made of yarn, yarn is for crocheting, not holding it. Other than that I find that it is fine... may find a few useful patterns depending on who you are.

I like the rug pattern, the slippers, and the gourd patterns (for garlic storage).

There were techniques in this book I had not seen elsewhere. Many of the patterns were more imaginative than what I would be able to come up with on my own, but there were many things in this book I could not see myself making. I made a couple of the placemats and I could see myself making the "Field of Farms" rug and the sprout-y wall hanging in the future. My favorite thing about this book is that all of the yarns can be found at a local craft store with a decent yarn section and most of the twine, etc I was able to get from the hardware store.

A way to use up your yarn and your time, but very few patterns are actually useful.
