On a fall night in 2003, Harvard undergrad and computer programming genius Mark Zuckerberg sits down at his computer and heatedly begins working on a new idea. In a fury of blogging and programming, what begins in his dorm room soon becomes a global social network and a revolution in communication. A mere six years and 500 million friends later, Zuckerberg is the youngest billionaire in history, but for this entrepreneur, success leads to both personal and legal complications.

Based on the true story of Mark Zuckerberg finding Facebook, shows his journey through college as well as all the legal battles he faced along the way. Within years, this young man found himself to be one of the youngest billionaires in the world. This movie tells you more about Mark as a person as he came to be who he is today. The performance by Jesse Eisenberg was astounding, and the cinematography and directing was very impressive as well. I would rate this well-told story 4.5/5 stars, and recommend it to those with an interest in true story films. @The_Reviewer of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library

that movie is definitely a must to watch just to know - is launchingsome inconvenient thoughts
of course I am not sure how close is it to the real Mark Zuckenberg story, but watching his current behavior and watching what tricks FB was doing trying to ignite some actions (for example sending fake messages to provoke to activity) I would say probably close
FB is a great tool produced by ass.h.le
In my family we've discuss of differences between Zuckenberg, Gates and Steve Jobs- all of them were cynical and did lots of bad things happened but were also visionaries. Who knows who of them was the best and who was the worse - the least sympathy got now Zuckenberg.
Gates was big ass.h.le, but now I guess is doing sins reconciliation and his second nature is maybe much better
sorry to be mean

While the acting of many of the actors in this movie is impressive, the movie itself falls flat and is disappointing! I expected a better movie!
Mark Z. is definitely not a likeable person in any way! In fact, he is very passive-aggressive in practically all his relationships! He may well be driven and talented when it comes to the computer programming and designing, but when it comes to the most important or even in working relationships, sooner or later he will make you pay in a dramatic way if you ever make him angry or disappoint him! It does not matter if the other person does not even know that he/she upset him! He will never tell you, but stab you later! No one is immune! Mark leaves people guessing just how he feels about them, until that moment of the "pay-back"! So, since the main subject of this movie is so unlikeable, it makes the whole movie suffer!
The only person one could feel some emotion and sympathy is for Eduardo, the co-founder of the Facebook! He is the only Friend, a loyal, caring Friend, Mark had! And, Mark had tanked that Friendship royally!
While there are interesting moments in this movie, as a whole it just does not live up to its promise, despite the great casting and acting!

Take-home messages from this one: Remember who your real friends are, be choosy about who you have stay over and, love it or hate it, fb is here to stay.

Made me proud I don't use FB. What a horrible human being Zucker seems to be! Good movie, though, even for people like me who hate the intrusiveness and data mining and overshare culture of sites like FB.

This is a very engaging story, or should I say mystery, about who actually started Facebook. Was Mark Z. the brains behind the social media revolution or did he steal this idea from his friends and colleagues (fellow students)? Good acting, kept my attention. Entertaining but not 100% factual.

One of Fincher's greatest, but then again, almost all of his films are great; the man is an amazing director. Very well written screenplay by Aaron Sorkin; definitely one of the best screenplays in recent history. The score is also great, the collaboration between Trent Reznor and David Fincher never fail to impress. I, personally, found this movie to be very entertaining. "The Social Network" doesn't have the same vibe as Fincher's thrillers, but it still kept me intrigued.

This movie is not solely about Facebook; the other reviewers who think this were probably not actually watching. There are many themes of friendship and betrayal; this movie is pretty dark if you truly delve deep into it.

I enjoy Jessie Eisenberg as an actor. I found his character to be quite cocky in this movie, but I enjoyed it. He pulls it off well. Good story!

Mark Zuckerberg: You know, you really don't need a forensics team to get to the bottom of this. If you guys were the inventors of Facebook, you'd have invented Facebook.
