Started viewing this not expecting much; hooked in by the humour, it evolved into a study of humanity and how fragile the mind can be. Realizing a dream or goal can have unforeseen repercussions. As with most ventures- success at what cost?

Weird, interesting documentary. Does he swim because he is crazy or does the swimming make him crazy?

Borat meets Fitzcarraldo! Martin Strel believes if he thinks he's an animal while he's swimming the Amazon, he won't be eaten. Worth a try if he wants to survive this incredible adventure. Exhilarating, awe-inspiring. The world is a better place with people like Strel in it.

A really great documentary! Martin Strel is an amazing person and this is a very interesting movie.

There are more than a few allusions to the Heart of Darkness.

Sometimes over the top so you wonder if this is really just a big story or the truth.
It is a wonderful ride however, and excellently done - even if it does get a bit carried away as to become a farce.
Worth watching for sure!
