I liked it; the book was enjoyable to read and well-written. I was more interested in Sian and Babo (the main characters of the early part of the book) than I was in their children, Mayuri and Bean. Bean was well-drawn as was Ba, her grandmother. A good read.

This is the story of a couple in India with two children. The wife is from Wales. It is lyrical and sweet, but who lives in this "delightful" world?

Delightful details of Madras--the setting and every day life.

Could have skipped some of the shabang details--personalities seem to revolve around the shabang part of their lives.

A fast-paced book. An easy read.
