Based on a real life event from Author's childhood . Young Trisha is in a special class and devastated . Her teacher shows them the wonder of what they can achieve . The Author's own struggle with dyslexia inspired this story . Another good book to read is THANKYOU MR FULKER

Very moving book, especially the author's note at the end. I love the biographical nature of Polacco's work. The genre can be termed bio-fic.
