Marli Renfro wasn't famous, but she played a part in one of the most iconic scenes in American film -- as Janet Leigh's nude body double in Alfred Hitchcock'sPsycho. Only hours after seeing the film, a young man dubbed the "Psycho Killer" took the life of his first victim. Then Marli inexplicably vanished, leading to reports that she'd been murdered. For Robert Graysmith, Marli's fate became an obsession -- a personal love note to a beautiful dead girl.

Sadly this was boring...I wanted it to be so much more. Interesting on the body double, but it sadly wasn't well written, and it went off in tangents.

The author tries to combine an homicide investigation with the story of the body double to Janet Leigh in Psycho. This combination doesn't quite work. The story of Marli Renfro is interesting enough along with her anecdotes with many famous people. Worth reading for anyone who likes early 60's movies, especially the exploitation ones.
