What a beautiful tribute Rosenblatt has written for his daughter, Amy. It is achingly honest and heartbreaking, but spare in detail so that most of the sorrow is left to our imagination. I really felt I knew this family after I finished the book. Everyday life with young grandchildren is treated as something very special to be valued.

A gentle book, nicely told.
