This is the third in the series, and I think possibly the best so far. At least on par with the first two. The way Scholes has crafted this fantasy world from scratch amazes me. Intricate as a Rufello lock and complicated as a Whymer maze. I have truly been won over by the characters and pulled in to the emotion of their struggles. I can't wait to read the next book. As a warning, this book ends on more of a cliffhanger than the first two. When I first started reading these novels, I wasn't sure if I liked the world the author was creating. It was because I was comparing it to other established fantasy cliche's. I can truly say that I am hooked.
