A real honey of a book! Sydney is honest and genuine from start to finish. Deford beautifully weaves Sydney's story and the telling of her story.

Bliss, Remembered is the fictional account of an Olympic swimmer that took part in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Extremely well-written, Frank Deford does a wonderful job of portraying what life was like in Germany shortly before World War II. If you like history with a heavy side of romance then this is the book for you.
