When Arlen Wagner awakens on a train one hot Florida night and sees death's telltale sign in the eyes of his fellow passengers, he tries to warn them. Only 19-year-old Paul Brickhill believes him, and the two abandon the train, hoping to escape certain death. They continue south, but are soon stranded at the Cypress House--an isolated Gulf Coast boarding house run by the beautiful Rebecca Cady--directly in the path of an approaching hurricane. But the storm isn't the only approaching danger.

I didn't like the beginning of this so I only read one chapter. Only mild profanity as far as I got. Seemed to be only mild profanity.

.this author is the best ever. His books are thrilling and move along well with no idea of the ending. His books are the only ones I want to read.

This is my second Koryta book. He is such a great storyteller, and he always manages to twist and turn his story in surprising but totally logical ways. Just when you think you've got the story figured out... Highly recommended.

A good, average mystery thriller with a touch of the paranormal, similar to "So Cold the River".
