This is a 2009 documentary directed by Danny Schechter.
It is a hard-hitting investigative film that shows how the financial crisis was built on a foundation of criminal activity.
The film looks into how the crisis developed, from the mysterious collapse of Bear Stearns to the shadowy world of trillion-dollar hedge funds.
It is a gripping, inspirational and thought-provoking documentary.

Good, but still kinda murky and confusing, because they reframe the evil. The description of both the vid and the Library Journal: /// Schechter says the misuse of financial innovations such as collateralized debt obligations and credit default swaps should be viewed as criminal acts. \\\ They weren't financial innovations, but financial fraud tools - - PERIOD! Michael Lewis also wrongly calls these fraud tools financial innovations. Little comprehension going on here. . .

The best of these documentaries I've seen so far. Even I could understand it! Focuses on both 'how' it happened,.. and how to prevent a replay. If this financial melt-down interests you,.. see "Too Big To Fail" as a follow-up 'pleasure',.. but see "Plunder" FIRST. Its in plain English !

From the maker of "In Debt We Trust". Learn how our financial markets aren't regulated. Also learn about the 2008 economic meltdown and how those who had the least to lose are still rich and getting richer.
