Tells the story of an innocent man that has been executed by the state. Regardless of faith, for or against the death penalty, liberal or conservative, the movie compels viewers to feel not only the collective pain our societal conscience suffers for executing the innocent but also the individual fear of not knowing what margins of error our judges, jurors and executioners will find acceptable tomorrow.

This is a 90-minute documentary written and directed by Jesse Quackenbush in 2008 about Johnny Garrett who was executed by the state of Texas and who later turned out innocent.
According to the prosecution, 17-year-old Garrett raped, strangled, and killed 76-year-old nun Tadea Benz in the St. Francis Convent.
On November 9, 1981, Johnny Garrett, who lived across the street from the convent, was arrested, tried and convicted for the crime.
Johnny was ultimately executed at age 28 at Huntsville Unit, by lethal injection, on February 11, 1992.
Director Jesse Quackenbush, a man from Albany, New York who graduated from the University of Houston Law School in 1987 and, that year, moved to Amarillo, made this documentary.
He shows that Garrett was the victim of overzealous prosecutors and poor defense attorneys.
This movie is a must-see if you have an opinion about capital punishment.
